WORLD BOOK DAY

Thursday 7th March is World Book Day and we are hosting a theatre group who will be presenting 'Oliver Twist' a classic Charles Dickens novel.  In the afternoon we will be holding book readings in each class with staff reading specially chosen books, all centering around the theme of caring for the environment.  To add to this part of the day, we will provide drink and biscuits for the children to enjoy.  We are asking for a 50p donation to go to 'Book Aid' a charity that provides books to schools and organisations around the world who do not have the resources to purchase new literature.  We feel this will be an affordable way to celebrate the day rather purchasing dressing up outfits etc.
