5M Attend Mass

Year 5 enjoyed a special visit to church today, joining the parish community to celebrate Mass before exploring their RE topic, ‘Creation and Covenant’, with Father Pat.

As we journey through Ordinary Time in the Church’s liturgical calendar, we are reminded that faith is lived out through our everyday words and actions. Celebrating Mass together gave the children an opportunity to listen to God’s Word, give thanks for the wonderful gift of creation and reflect on our responsibility to care for one another and the world around us.

🌍 Faith in Action: Caring for Our Common Home

Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, the children reflected on their role as stewards of God’s creation. Pope Francis reminds us that “there is a nobility in the duty to care for creation through little daily actions” (Laudato Si’, 211).

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to till it and keep it”

(Genesis 2:15)

We are encouraged to make thoughtful choices, show gratitude for the beauty of creation and take responsibility for protecting our common home.

Through simple acts of kindness, reducing waste and caring for the world around us, we can put our faith into action and live out our calling to be stewards of God's wonderful creation.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Pat for welcoming us and enriching the children’s learning and faith journey.
