Welcome to St Monica’s Catholic Primary School

On behalf of our pupils, staff and governors, I am delighted to welcome you to St Monica’s Catholic Primary School.

It is a great privilege to be Headteacher of such a caring, vibrant and ambitious school - here in the heart of Bootle. At St Monica’s, every child is known, valued and encouraged to succeed.

Our mission, “Success for all within a Christ centred community,” is at the heart of everything we do and shapes the way we learn, work and care for one another.

We are proud to be a welcoming and inclusive Catholic school. Children from all backgrounds, cultures and faiths are valued as part of our St Monica’s family, and we believe that the diversity of our community is one of our greatest strengths. Through prayer, worship and daily school life, we encourage our children to grow in faith, develop a closer relationship with God and treat others with love, dignity and respect.

We have high expectations for every pupil and are committed to helping each child reach their full potential. Our talented and dedicated staff provide excellent care alongside a broad, exciting and ambitious curriculum. We recognise and celebrate the individual gifts of every child, building the confidence, knowledge and character they need to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. We want all children to thrive. 

The safety and wellbeing of our pupils are always our highest priorities. Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone at St Monica’s, and we work hard to ensure that every child feels safe, happy and supported.

Our partnership with parents and carers is central to the life of our school. We listen, communicate openly and work together to make sure that each child’s time at St Monica’s is happy, successful and filled with memorable experiences.
