Year 3 have been celebrating Peace Day by exploring how people around the world greet one another and share messages of peace!

The children discovered a variety of greetings and peace signs from different cultures, from handshakes and bows to placing hands on their foreheads. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about different traditions, appreciate our diverse world and understand how small gestures can help us connect with others.

Inspired by their discoveries, the children then designed and created their own peace signs, sharing their ideas about what peace means to them.

It was lovely to see Year 3 thinking about how we can all play our part in creating a kinder, more peaceful world through friendship, respect and understanding.
