St Monica’s Harvest Appeal: Giving Thanks and Sharing God’s Love
As we prepare to celebrate our Harvest Festival at St Monica’s, we are inviting our school community to come together in kindness and generosity by donating food to support South Sefton Foodbank.
Our donations will help support local families and members of our community who may be experiencing difficult times. This is a wonderful opportunity to share what we have, support those in need and put our Catholic faith into action by living out Jesus’ message of love, compassion and care for others.
The Bible reminds us in Psalm 136:1:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
Harvest is a special time to give thanks to God for all that we have been blessed with, including the food we enjoy, the people who care for us and the community we share. It also reminds us of our responsibility to look beyond ourselves and help those who may need a little extra support.
How you can help
We warmly welcome food donations to be brought into school as we prepare for our Harvest Festival. Every contribution, big or small, will be gratefully received and will help make a difference to local families.
At St Monica’s, we believe that even the smallest act of kindness can have a lasting impact. Together, we can show our children the importance of gratitude, generosity and serving others.
Let us give thanks for all we have and put our faith into action by sharing God’s love with those around us.
