Year 3 have had a fantastic time getting started with their British Sign Language (BSL) workshop! The children enjoyed learning how to communicate in a new and exciting way, using their hands, facial expressions and gestures to share messages.

During the session, they learnt the signs for different colours and put their new skills into practice by asking their friends about their favourite colours. It was wonderful to see them practising together, building confidence and communicating with one another!

The fun continued as the children learnt to sign along to Better When I’m Dancing, combining music, movement and BSL in a lively and engaging activity.

The workshop was a brilliant opportunity for Year 3 to develop their communication skills, celebrate different ways of communicating and understand the importance of inclusion and accessibility.
