Our Nursery children have been busy little chefs, making their very own vegetable stew! 

The children followed each step of the recipe, helping to chop the carrots, potatoes, parsnips and onions before putting their ingredients together and waiting patiently for their delicious stew to cook.

This activity supported the children’s Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) as they practised listening to instructions, taking turns, developing independence and showing patience. They also had the opportunity to build confidence by trying something new and working together as a team.

It was wonderful to see the children taking pride in their efforts and learning that good things sometimes take time!
