Making our own choices - PSHE

PSHE often involves working collaboratively. When working together, we have to make our own choices and explain our reasons for some of those. Today, Y2 made towers with bricks which involved lots of communicating, listening, showing resilience and teamwork.

Careers Day - Making our own Choices for our Futures!

Our theme for the day was ‘Reach for the Stars’ - we want all children within our school to feel empowered by the world of opportunities that await.

We feel it is very important to raise the aspirations of our children and provide them with the knowledge of a wide range of careers that are available to them in the future.

A very broad range of professionals visited the school to help us deliver an informative and fun day, introducing children to a broad and balanced range of careers and future job prospects: over 30 visitors into school made the day one to remember.

From vets to builders, authors to teachers, business owners to personal trainers - we had a superb range of career choices from our pupils. You all outdid yourselves and thank you for that. Over 30 people visited school, either in person or via Zoom across all year groups. The children asked superb questions and many left with the highest of aspirations for the future. We even had a personal video message from an astronaut in training from our local area - it’s going to be hard to beat that and it shows: our children can become anything! Remember our Core Value of Aspiration: Dream Big!

Global Scholars exchange ideas with peers

Our Year 5/6 Global Scholars have been exchanging ideas with their international peers across the globe. They have expressed their opinions in their emails related to 'Nature in our cities'. The scholars have respected each others differences and considered it something which makes our cities/countries unique.
