As a primary school based in Liverpool hosting the European Song Contest, our pupils were given the opportunity to unite with Ukraine following the theme of the contest. In KS1, we had an assembly showing that we are united by music with the Ukrainian children, by listening to the anthem and waving our flags! In KS2, we made notes to welcome the Ukrainians to Liverpool and made a paperchain using colours from both countries to show our connection globally!

Year Three Easter Pageant 2023
On Friday 21st April, St Monica’s celebrated Earth Day 2023. We had a whole school assembly to feature our learning from across the week. The Global ambassadors presented some research on how we can conserve our earth. Year 1 presented their recycled animals which they created using recycled plastic. Year 4 spoke about their trip to the Recycling Centre and how we can work together to save the planet. To end our assembly, we announced the winners of our Earth Day poster competition!
A fantastic effort from all the children of St Monica’s!
