'Kindness - that simple word. To be kind - it covers everything, to my mind. If you're kind that's it' - Roald Dahl

The Gratitude Minute

Bully Busters Assembly

St Monica's pupils from Y1-Y6 were lucky to have a visit from Bullybusters on Monday 4th December. We learnt about how to look after one another and our friends. We also discussed the adults who can help in our school. Mutual Respect is an important British Value within the life of St Monicas.

Show Racism the Red Card

Our fantastic Year 5 pupil wrote her own poem 'Longing Child' and based it off the period of Windrush. A true poet, we could not be prouder. What an achievement. Diversity is our Superpower!

Whole School Assembly

Mr Gouldbourne delivered a fantastic assembly on Black History Month to raise the importance of celebrating diversity. Mrs Sanders held a Black History Month competition and the theme was: Saluting our Sisters. We have some fantastic artists at St Monica's. Work to be proud of!

Black History Month - Y1

Story time in Year 1 reading a story to celebrate Black History Month. Respecting each other's differences is what makes us all unique. We are all different and special in our own ways.

Black History Month - Y6

Year 6 have been studying mutual respect throughout their discussions on 'Black History Month'. Mutual respect allows us to celebrate diversity and show kindness to everyone regardless of their background.
